Hypercom Corp. announced a deal with a German retail chain that will deploy 30,000 of its Artema Hybrid point of sale terminals over the next two and a half years throughout the country.
Under the multimillion-dollar agreement, Hypercom has made an initial deployment of 10,000 systems to REWE Group, which is based in Cologne. "We selected Hypercom because they are a recognized and competent provider of payment systems," Jens Siebenhaar, the managing director of REWE-Informations-Systeme GmbH, said in a press release.
In December the Scottsdale, Ariz., terminal maker announced another deal with a German retailer, C&A Mode KG. Hypercom said it would deploy 2,700 Artema Hybrid terminals at more than 450 C&A Mode stores.
