She began her career with Citi.
William Mark DeMarcus is the new chief operating officer of Yadkin Valley Bank and Trust and its parent company.
DeMarcus has been with the Elkin, N.C., bank since its merger with American Community Bank in 2009. In the past year, as chief banking officer, he managed all business lines that directly served customers. As COO, he will also be in charge of back-office operations such as information technology and corporate affairs.
J. Rick Patterson, current regional president of Yadkin Valley's southern division, will also serve as chief banking officer and report to DeMarcus.
"We are very excited about these two executive management moves as we continue to execute our long-term strategic plan for the company," said Joe Towell, president and chief executive officer of Yadkin Valley. "Mark and Rick both have extensive banking backgrounds in our markets, which make them highly qualified to take on these expanded roles."
The bank has 34 branches in the Carolinas.
