HomeTrust in N.C. Discloses CEO Retirement

A longtime chairman and chief executive at HomeTrust BancShares (HTBI) in Asheville, N.C., has retired.

The $1.7 billion-asset company said Monday that F. Edward Broadwell had retired. Broadwell, who had been CEO of HomeTrust and its bank since 1965, will remain a director until the company's fall 2014 shareholder meeting.

Dana Stonestreet, who has been HomeTrust's co-CEO since July, succeeded Broadwell as chairman and CEO. Stonestreet, who joined HomeTrust in 1989 as chief financial officer, became chief operating officer in 2003 and president in 2008.
