Hudson Valley in N.Y. Hires Former Regulator as Chief Risk Officer

Hudson Valley Holding (HVB) in Yonkers, N.Y., has hired a former regulator to be chief risk officer for its bank.

Michael Finn will join the $3 billion-asset bank in January, it said. He had been a senior advisor to in the Office of the Comptroller of the Currency. Previously, he was a regional director for the Office of Thrift Supervision.

Susan Cullen was listed as the bank's chief risk officer in Hudson Valley's latest proxy filing. The company could not immediately be reached for further details.

Finn's "extensive senior-level experience in oversight, enforcement and policy making will position him well to lead our risk management program and better position the company to achieve its long-term goals," Chief Executive Stephen Brown said in a press release.

Hudson Valley has hired a chief credit officer and a general counsel in recent months.

In October, the OCC freed Hudson Valley from a 2012 enforcement action.
