ERF announced the seven-year contract with the banking company Thursday.

The $217 million-asset Iberville plans to use ERF's US-BankNet network to improve operating efficiency and to provide business continuity.

The bank installed ERF's BranchNet system last year to connect its 12 branches and its operations center.

ERF said Iberville is the second financial company planning to use US-BankNet. Last month the vendor announced a $1 million contract with First Federal Bank of Louisiana, a $546 million-asset thrift in Lake Charles.

US-BankNet uses encrypted microwave transmission of data files. It provides wireless connectivity, fiber gateways, video-on-demand servers for storage and retrieval of training classes, access to network storage systems, high-definition video surveillance, and other services.
