VSoft's technology works with a home computer scanner or a mobile phone camera to capture images of paper checks for deposit. Its software also helps to reduce fraud by reviewing deposit thresholds.

"Our flexible remote deposit capture solutions allow Allied Bank to leverage its current technology, while increasing its value to current and prospective customers," Murthy Veeraghanta, VSoft's chairman and managing director, said in a press release Monday.

Ken Bertrand, Allied's president, said in the release that "VSoft's remote deposit capture solution integrates seamlessly with our Internet banking system while enabling us to improve customer relations and maintain our dedication to progressive banking practices."

Allied is offering remote deposit capture to businesses and consumers. VSoft is based in Duluth, Ga.
