COLUMBUS, OHIO -- The Ohio Tuition Trust Authority announced Tuesday that it had added an aggressive growth fund from Putnam Investments to the menu of options available to participants in its 529 college savings plan.

The fund, which invests in equity funds managed by Putnam, was added to provide an investment option with higher growth potential, a spokesman for Putnam said.

It is one of five investment Putnam products available for Ohioans through the CollegeAdvantage 529 Savings Plan, launched last October by Putnam and the state trust authority. The plan also offers a guaranteed savings fund, an aged-based fund, a balanced fund, a growth fund.
