American International Group Inc. in New York said Wednesday it has promoted David M. Hupp and Vincent J. Masucci to AIG Cos. senior executives for the eastern and western regions, respectively.
In these newly created posts, Mr. Hupp and Mr. Masucci are to identify market opportunities within the company's domestic operations, including retirement services, life/health products, and property/casualty insurance.
Mr. Hupp joined American International Underwriters in New York as an underwriter in 1970, and he has been president of its North American division.
Mr. Masucci joined AIG in 1972 and was appointed the director of regional operations for AIG's domestic brokerage group in 1991.
Matthew F. Power is to succeed Mr. Hupp as domestic brokerage group senior vice president-east, and Mayra E. Guffin is to succeed Mr. Masucci in the same post for the West. Both will oversee field operations in their zones.
