Atlantic Trust Private Wealth Management, a unit of Amvescap PLC, announced the hiring of Alan S. Fields and Jeffrey E. Anthony to be managing directors.
Both are to join Atlantic Trust Pell Rudman in Boston. Mr. Fields and Mr. Anthony will each be a managing director and senior relationship manager responsible for working with individuals and their families, endowments, and foundations, the company said Monday.
Mr. Fields worked for 40 years with high-net-worth investors. Most recently he was chairman of Harbor Capital Management Co.'s private-client group. Previously, he was an officer and portfolio manager at Phoenix Investment Counsel in Boston and a portfolio manager at Hornblower Asset Management.
Mr. Anthony worked for 35 years in the investment industry, most recently as chief executive officer of Harbor Capital Management Co.'s private-client group. Previously, he was a general partner and managing director at Haldor Investment Advisors and a vice president and Boston regional manager at SNC Investment Counseling, the high-net-worth investment management division of the former Shawmut National Bank.
