The security software vendor Arcot Systems Inc. has made its antifraud technology compatible with the aggregation software products sold by Yodlee Inc.
Yodlee, of Redwood City, Calif., offers products for personal financial management and online bill payment that enable its clients' systems to gather data from end users' online accounts at multiple companies and present the consolidated information on a single screen. Many banks have updated their online banking sites to protect against fraud, and Yodlee has struck other, similar deals to keep those sites accessible to its software.
In June 2005, Yodlee announced such an agreement with PassMark Security Inc., which has since been bought by the RSA Security Inc. unit of EMC Corp. In May of that year PassMark signed a contract to provide its security software to Bank of America Corp., which today has 20 million active online banking users.
Arcot, of Sunnyvale, Calif., has made two products compatible with Yodlee's software: RiskFort, which evaluates the risk of online transactions, and WebFort, an authentication product.
