Associated Banc-Corp of Green Bay, Wis., is planning to use antifraud software from Corillian Corp.
The Portland, Ore., vendor said Tuesday that Associated would use its Intelligent Authentication software to protect customers' accounts from unauthorized access.
Corillian said that Intelligent Authentication complies with guidelines from the Federal Financial Institutions Examination Council that require financial companies to implement strong authentication for online banking transactions by yearend.
The software monitors information transmitted from the user's computer, using a customer's pattern of online banking behavior to determine when to challenge uncharacteristic activity by asking questions to confirm the user's identity.
