In Brief: Banking Vet Named Cyber Networks CFO

John F. Lacey, a 25-year-veteran of commercial and investment banking, has been named chief financial officer of Cyber Networks Inc.

The company is best-known for Cyber411, a search engine that marshals the capabilities of 16 Internet search providers at once.

Cyber Networks chairman R. Scott Shakespeare said the company's rapid growth requires more sophisticated financial management, which Mr. Lacey can provide.

Mr. Lacey was most recently senior vice president and managing director of ABN Amro North America Inc. and before that worked for its predecessor, Amsterdam-Rotterdam Bank. He also worked at Manufacturers Hanover Trust Co., Irving Trust Co., and Bayerische Landesbank Girozentrale, all in New York.

"John's experience, management perspective, and existing relationships with the Wall Street community match our goals perfectly," Mr. Shakespeare said.
