The Dallas check-cashing company Ace Cash Express Inc. has hired a Blockbuster Inc. senior vice president as its chief marketing officer.
Allen Klose, whose hiring was announced Tuesday, started his new job Monday. He succeeded Jake Schroepfer, who has left Ace after working there for less than two years.
Mr. Klose spent 10 years at Blockbuster, which is also based in Dallas. One of his jobs at Blockbuster was to direct multi-unit retail marketing, which included advertising, store design, and franchise development, Ace said.
Jay Shipowitz, Ace's president and chief executive officer, said Mr. Klose will "provide a new focus and a fresh perspective to marketing our existing products and services and in developing outstanding new products to better serve our customers."
