A group of 24 voters filed a lawsuit to cancel the conditional certification that California Secretary of State Bruce McPherson gave last month to Diebold Inc.'s TSx electronic voting system.
The suit, filed in the Superior Court for San Francisco County, cited "security, verifiability, and disability access problems."
Voter Action, a nonprofit focused on U.S. election integrity, said Tuesday in a press release that the suit also aims to prevent California from purchasing or using the Diebold system.
The North Canton, Ohio, vendor said a spokesman was not available to discuss the suit.
