The fire at Eastern Guilford High School in Gibsonville started in a chemistry lab that was reported to be empty and quickly spread to other parts of the 32-year-old building. Students have been moved to the Greensboro campus of Guilford Technical Community College and the former campus of the North Carolina School for the Deaf.

The $1.4 billion-asset Capital said it also is working with other businesses and organizations to develop a donation program to help teachers buy supplies.
