In Brief: Centrax Updates Fair-Lending Software

The Centrax Group, Dallas, has released the semiannual update to its fair-lending software. The program helps bankers with geocoding, Home Mortgage Disclosure Act data reporting, and Community Reinvestment Act lending analysis.

The new release updates customer addresses in each client's data base.

It also includes a fair-lending module, called "the sampler," that allows users to select marginal HMDA files for matched-paired testing.

"The sampler will save us a tremendous amount of time in identifying a sample of files for our fair-lending review," said David Fynn, senior vice president of National City Corp., Cleveland.

The Centrax Group has about 600 bank, thrift, and mortgage company clients.
