In Brief: Citi Hires Arkidata for System Merger

DOWNERS GROVE, Ill. — Citigroup Inc. announced Monday that it has hired Arkidata Corp., a data analysis, auditing, cleansing, and conversion firm, to merge the employee benefits information of Associates First Capital Corp., which Citi bought in November, into its corporate benefits system.

Arkidata consultants will use their company’s Arkistra proprietary technology to merge the Associates information into Citi’s system.

Founded in 1997, Arkidata has a customer list that includes Sprint, Verizon, Continental Airlines, and the Federal Reserve, for which the company is installing a program that will let users gain access to pension, payroll, and employee benefits information over the Web. Arkidata also has alliances with major consulting firms.
