Glacier Bancorp Inc. in Kalispell, Mont., said Monday that it is buying the 95-year-old North Side State Bank in Rock Springs, Wyo., for $28 million in cash and stock.
North Side State would be Glacier's sixth acquisition since February 2005 and its second in Wyoming.
The $121 million-asset North Side would be merged into the $294 million-asset 1st Bank in Evanston, Wyo., which Glacier acquired two years ago.
Glacier has $4.5 billion of assets, 15 banks, and 89 branches in Montana, Idaho, Utah, Washington, and Wyoming.
The deal is expected to close in the second quarter.
