NEW YORK - Mobilocity Inc. has signed a deal with J.P. Morgan & Co. to help the banking company carry out a global mobile Internet strategy.
On Wednesday Mobilocity introduced its mobile financial services practice, which designs mobile applications for financial institutions. J.P. Morgan, which led Mobilocity's first round of financing in June, has become its first customer.
Mobilocity's strategists will work with J.P. Morgan to formulate a business plan for mobile initiatives within the company and will play host to seminars for Morgan's senior business and technical professionals.
"Mobilocity complements our financial markets and technology expertise by bringing experience in developing mobile Internet platforms," said Andrew Comas, head of technology research at J.P. Morgan.
In May, Morgan announced the creation of Syndirect Wireless, a wireless platform for bond issuers and investors.
