In Brief: LendingTree Offers Services on MSN

CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Microsoft Corp.’s HomeAdvisor Web site now has a link to LendingTree Inc.’s RealtyServices Network.

RealtyServices connects consumers to a network of about 7,000 real estate professionals nationwide, said Thomas J. Reddin, the president and chief executive of LendingTree, which is based in Charlotte. HomeAdvisor is a real estate and home services site operated by the Microsoft Network.

Mr. Reddin said LendingTree’s agreement with Microsoft pairs MSN customers with his company’s broker base and consumer incentives.

RealtyServices, which uses a questionnaire that customers complete to match them with brokers, processed 50,000 requests last year, Mr. Reddin said. In most states consumers who close a transaction through the network can receive a gift certificate of up to $1,000 for purchases at Home Depot, he said.
