TSYS Acquiring Solutions, a Tempe, Ariz., unit of Total System Services Inc. of Columbus, Ga., said it had renewed an agreement to provide processing services for Moneris Solutions Inc. of Buffalo Grove, Ill.
The unit of TSYS (which itself is majority owned by Synovus Financial Corp. of Columbus) remains Moneris' preferred third-party provider of transaction processing and related support services in the United States. The multiyear renewal was signed in November and announced Tuesday. Moneris processes more than 2.3 billion credit and debit card transactions a year for more than 350,000 North American merchant locations.
