The Federal Deposit Insurance Corp. has hired Jennifer "D.J." Nordquist as deputy chief of staff and director of public relations.
Ms. Nordquist, who is slated to take her post Monday, worked most recently as a deputy assistant secretary in the Education Department's office of communications and outreach. She has also worked for Rep. Bill Thomas, R-Calif., and former Sen. Alfonse D'Amato, R-N.Y.
Ms. Nordquist will lead programs informing the media, bankers, and the public about the operations of the agency.
