Panhandle State Bank, a unit of the $781 million-asset Intermountain Community Bancorp in Sandpoint, Idaho, has acquired Premier Financial Services, a private investment firm in Priest River.

Late Monday, Panhandle said that it had closed the deal for Premier on Sept. 1, and that the investment unit is now operating as Intermountain Community Investment Services.
Trudy Leen, who had been the investment firm's sole principal, is now vice president and general manager of Intermountain Community Investment Services. She has more than 30 years of banking and investment experience.
