In Brief: Royal Bank Joins State St. Exchange

BOSTON State Street Corp. announced that the Royal Bank of Scotlands financial markets group will participate in the Boston banking companys Global Exchange.

The Royal Bank of Scotland will be the first to offer futures trading and clearing over the Web network, which 262 asset management companies use to get market research and analysis in addition to executing trades.

The partnership with Royal Bank of Scotland underscores our commitment to providing an open e-finance network where investors, portfolio managers, and banks can conduct sophisticated investments online in a secure, real-time environment, said Simon Wilson-Taylor, senior vice president and worldwide head of Global Link.
