MAITLAND, Fla. - Star Systems Inc. has created an Internet portal and database to help its member financial institutions resolve consumer complaints faster.
The system lets banks generate detailed transaction history reports, going back 120 days, on individual cardholders.
As part of the package, Star Station will also include an electronic library with word-search capabilities, operating rules, manuals, bulletins, calendars, annual reports, and other updates; online training courses; a searchable Star member directory; and an automated teller machine and point of sale locator that can be updated by participating institutions.
Consumers will not have direct access to the service, though they can see the list of ATM and POS sites on Star's Web site.
