In Brief: Teller System for CU Hawaii's New Branch

CU Hawaii Federal Credit Union has installed a video remote teller system from Diebold Inc. to let three tellers handle 14 customer windows at its new Keaau branch.

The North Canton, Ohio, automated teller machine vendor announced the installation Monday.

The Remote Teller System uses two-way audio and video connections to let tellers interact with customers at six windows remotely, in addition to four lobby windows and four drive-through lanes. The Hilo credit union said using fewer tellers will reduce costs.

CU Hawaii has been using the system at its main branch since 2002.
