UBOC Insurance Inc., the insurance subsidiary of Union Bank of California in San Francisco, said Wednesday that its Armstrong/Robitaille Insurance Services unit had agreed to buy Knight Insurance Agency of Glendale, Calif., for an undisclosed price.
Armstrong/Robitaille of Fullerton, Calif., is a wholly owned subsidiary of UBOC Insurance Inc. The deal was its first since UBOC bought it in 2001. In addition to Armstrong/Robitaille, UBOC Insurance owns John Burnham & Co. and Tanner Insurance Brokers Inc.
