ViewPoint Bank, a $1.5 billion-asset thrift in Plano, Tex., has hired Fiserv Inc.'s Banklink cash-management unit to provide hosted online business banking services.

The Brookfield, Wis., technology vendor announced the deal with ViewPoint on Wednesday, saying rollout of the service is to occur early next year.
ViewPoint, a former credit union that converted to a savings bank charter last year, is increasing its emphasis on providing commercial cash management services to business customers. It uses Fiserv core processing software in house.
Gary Base, ViewPoint's president, said in a Fiserv press release that ease of integration was a key factor in the decision to use the white-label cash management service, iLink.
