Washington Mutual gave away thousands of dollars Thursday during "Wamoola Madness," an event sponsored to introduce the new $20 bill.
The thrift selected 20 people to enter the "windy Wamoola" machine and grab as many $20 bills as they could, up to $10,000.

Washington Mutual matched all money grabbed by participants and donated it to HomeSight, a local affordable housing group.
Federal Reserve representatives were on-site to explain the anticounterfeiting features of the new bill. A local radio station covered the event live.
