In Brief: Warburg Pincus Funds President Quits

NEW YORK - Eugene Podsiadlo has resigned as president of the Warburg Pincus Funds, effective Dec. 6.

A spokeswoman for Credit Suisse Asset Management LLC, which owns the mutual fund group, said that Gail Eisenkraft, the head of Credit Suisse's U.S. retail mutual fund business, had taken over his duties. Ms. Eisenkraft was named a managing director of Credit Suisse Asset Management on Dec. 8.

The spokeswoman said that the position of president of the Warburg Pincus Funds would probably no longer exist. She said that Mr. Podsiadlo had left to pursue other interests and that the departure was amicable.

Credit Suisse Asset Management, the New York-based investment management arm of Swiss banking company Credit Suisse Group, recently absorbed the asset management arm of Donaldson, Lufkin & Jenrette Inc., which its parent bought last month. The Warburg Pincus Funds manage about $10.5 billion of assets.
