Wilmington Trust Corp. announced Thursday that it had a deal to buy PwC Corporate Services Ltd., a Cayman Islands provider of administration and bookkeeping services, from Pricewaterhouse Coopers, the big accounting firm.
Terms of the deal, which is expected to close this year, were not disclosed.
A purchase would enhance Wilmington's corporate client services business in the Cayman Islands, it said. The Delaware trust company began operating in the Cayman Islands in 2000 through its affiliate Wilmington Trust (Cayman) Ltd. The deal adds several hundred accounts to Wilmington Trust's book of business in the islands.
