In Briefs: California Bank Offers Intuit Finance Package

Union Bank of California is offering Intuit's QuickBooks, a computer software package designed for small business finance, to its customers.

Small-business owners can use the software to check money transfers, make payments and manage accounting tasks, such as invoices, sales records, payroll, and taxes.

The QuickBooks software is designed for businesses with less than 30 employees. The bank also offers computer banking services for larger companies and consumers.

Union Bank, a subsidiary of Bank of Tokyo-Mitsubishi, maintains a 24- hour technical assistance center to help customers use the computer-banking programs.
