INDEPENDENCE ONE Bank of California, Mission Viejo, Calif., has promoted Tommy D. Thompson to senior vice president and San Diego, regional manager. He had been first vice president of the bank's private banking unit.

Mr. Thompson supervises all corporate and private banking activities in San Diego.

Dale Lohrer and Jim Martin have been appointed first vice presidents.

In addition, the bank has appointed the following Southern California business executives to its advisory board: Ronald Blair, president, Jet Production Corp., San Diego; Philip De Carion, president, Todds Enterprises, Irvine; Rod Dedeaux, chairman and chief executive officer, Dart Equipment, Los Angeles; and David Dominguez, president, Andrew Lauren Interiors, San Diego.

Others added to the advisory board are: Glen French, chairman and chief executive officer, Imagyn Medical, Laguna Niguel; Philip Harrington, chief executive officer, Home Mac, Newport Beach; Gerald Higashi, certified public accountant, Sterman, Higashi & Herter, Santa Ana; Doug Meyers, partner, Coopers & Lybrand; and John Stephan, president, Republic Van Lines, San Diego.
