InsureZone Buys Online Insurance Firm

FORT WORTH — InsureZone, a nationwide Web-based insurance agency, has acquired AgentSecure Enterprises Inc., an Atlanta company that runs a Web-based insurance service for small-volume and rural commercial agents.

AgentSecure.com gives agents access to policies from several major carriers without requiring them to fulfill premium volume requirements. Small-volume, rural agents typically sell products from only one major carrier and a few regional carriers, which limits the options they can offer small-business customers.

As part of the deal, which was announced last week, AgentSecure is to expand its menu to include products from Kemper Insurance Cos. and St. Paul Cos. It already offered policies from CNA Financial Corp., Hartford, and Zurich Financial Services Group.

InsureZone forms partnerships with agencies, banks, and other institutions to offer their customers insurance quotes and access to products.
