IronKey Inc. announced its new Enterprise Service, an addition to its Trusted Access security suite.
Enterprise Service, which the Sunnyvale, Calif., company announced Thursday, is designed to help banks and other businesses secure mobile devices and remote office locations.
The product helps banks cope with the increase in cloud computing applications and the Bring Your Own Device phenomenon, where employees use their own mobile devices to access corporate assets.
"Using Trusted Access to manage the extended enterprise, [chief information officers] now have the opportunity to leverage the growing BYOD trend and … keep their roles and IT relevant to enable business,” said Ajay Nigam, senior vice president of product management at IronKey, in a press release.
IronKey says the service allows enterprises to manage contract and mobile workers, remote offices, customers and supply chain partners. It also helps reduce or eliminate spending on endpoint hardware, IT infrastructure, maintenance and support.
