Jackson National Life Insurance Co. has announced two senior executive promotions in its operations and information technology units.
The Lansing, Mich., subsidiary of Prudential PLC in London, said last week that it had promoted Laura Prieskorn, 41, to senior vice president and chief administrative officer, and J. Mark Clark, 49, to senior vice president and chief information officer.
In her new role, Prieskorn is to oversee all departments and functions within Jackson National's operational areas, including new business, policyholder services, broker management, claims and the telephone service center, as well as the company's relationship management and business analytics groups. She was a vice president in the customer service center and has worked at Jackson National for 21 years.
As CIO, Clark is to be responsible for all systems and programming departments that support Jackson National and its subsidiaries. He joined Jackson in 1996 from Cooperative Technologies, a company he co-founded. Before that, he was an applications manager for actuarial systems at SunAmerica.
Jackson National, which had $77 billion of assets under management at June 30, sells variable, fixed and fixed index annuities. It also offers life insurance and institutional products in 49 states and the District of Columbia through independent and regional broker-dealers, financial institutions and independent insurance agents.
