JPMorgan CFO Says There's No Reason for 'Major Surgery' on Bank

JPMorgan Chase Chief Financial Officer Marianne Lake said there's no reason to undertake "major surgery" on the company, which benefits from its size.

Lake was responding to a question about a recent Goldman Sachs research report that said JPMorgan might be worth more to shareholders if it was broken into pieces.

She was speaking on a conference call with reporters after the biggest U.S. bank by assets reported fourth-quarter results.
