Lazard Adds Former Citi Chairman Parsons to Its Board

The financial advisory and asset management firm Lazard (LAZ) announced Wednesday that it has elected former Citigroup (NYSE:C) Chairman Richard D. Parsons to its board of directors.

Parsons left Citi in April after three years as its chairman and a dozen years as a director. Prior to that he was the chairman and chief executive at Time Warner and was at one time the chairman and CEO of the Dime Savings Bank in New York.

He currently serves in the boards of Estee Lauer Companies and the Madison Square Garden Company and is a member of the President's Council on Jobs and Competitiveness.

Lazard is one of the nation's oldest asset management and financial advisory firms, with roots dating to the mid-1800s. The New York-based firm has offices in 42 cities in 27 countries throughout the globe.
