Lendio, a Utah startup that has served as an online small business loan lead generator for banks, has expanded its services to include a management tool designed for small business lending departments.

The beta software-as-a-service offering, expected to be widely available early next year, lets loan officers track the progress of their prospects while doing a number of activities like click-to-call the lead, write notes, set automated to-do reminders, and upload documents.

The tech is meant to replace the manila folders, sticky notes, Excel spreadsheets or more general sales apps such as SugarCRM that loan specialists use to track their prospects.

"We want to build something that loan specialists love," says Brock Blake, cofounder and chief executive.
