ENGLEWOOD, Colo., Aug. 2 /PRNewswire/ -- Local Insight Media, L.P.,today announced the appointment of Scott A. Berman as its chief financialofficer, effective August 27, 2007. Berman, who has more than 25 years ofexperience in finance and management, will lead the finance organizationand play an integral role in business strategy, corporate development andperformance management for Local Insight Media and its operatingsubsidiaries. Most recently, Berman served as chief financial officer for McDATAprior to its recent integration with Brocade Communications. In addition tostrengthening McDATA's core financial capabilities during his tenure, hewas instrumental in developing and executing a successful M&A strategy. Berman began his career in applied research at Bell Laboratories andlater transitioned into accounting and finance. Prior to joining McDATA asvice president of finance/treasurer in 2002, he spent nearly 20 years atQwest Communications, its predecessor U S WEST Communications and AT&T BellLaboratories. From 2000 to 2002, Berman served as Qwest's senior vicepresident/treasurer, with responsibility for treasury, capital markets,asset strategy and cash management. Berman also held other key positions infinance, product and technical development. Berman holds a BS and MS in Computer Engineering from the University ofMichigan and an MBA from Harvard University.
