MARINE MIDLAND Bank, New York, a subsidiary of HSBC Holdings PLC, London, said Richard A. Peterson has been appointed chief executive officer of HSBC Corporate Banking in New York.
He is currently manager of Marine's New York branch.
Mr. Peterson will be in charge of the New York corporate banking businesses of the Hongkong and Shanghai Banking Corp. Ltd., and Midland Bank, in a single unit recently formed under the name of HSBC Corporate Banking. The unit will work closely with Marine Midland Bank.
Hongkong Bank, Midland Bank, and Marine Midland Bank are subsidiaries of HSBC Holdings.
