MARKET TALK: Goldman Sachs Ups HSBC Target; Still Neutral

0750 GMT [Dow Jones]--Goldman Sachs increases HSBC (HSBA.LN) price target to1028p from 1002p, saying it believes there were new positives in the bank'sinterim results. "These include a tailored CIBM strategy delivering strongrevenue growth and no additional one-off impairments in the US." However,believes that US impairments are likely to continue to rise. "Overall, we seelong-term value beginning to emerge in HSBC as the switch back to emergingmarkets and joining up the company begins to bear fruit." Maintains a neutralrating.
