AUBURN, Maine - Mid Maine Savings Bank said it had been asked to enter a supervisory agreement with the Office of Thrift Supervision.

"The primary effect of a supervisory agreement is to limit a bank's lending to prevent further losses and rebuild capital," the thrift said in a press release.

The briefs were compiled from staff and wire reports.
