Assets in money market mutual funds slid 0.6%, to $986.17 billion, in the week ended July 30, according to the Investment Company Institute.

The decline partly reflected a 2.2% drop in taxable institutional funds, to $293.40 billion of assets.

The total assets of 326 institutional money market mutual funds slipped 2%, to $328.5 billion.

Assets in retail money market funds increased 0.2%, to $657.67 billion.

The institute amended the overall figure for the week ended July 23 to $991.65 billion. The revisions reflect reporting errors and a change in the number of mutual funds reporting to the Washington trade group.
