Moscow's Tinkoff to Use TSYS Prime Card System

Total System Services Inc. announced Thursday that Tinkoff. Credit Systems Bank, of Moscow, has upgraded to the latest version of the TSYS' card and merchant management product, called Prime 4.

Tinkoff. has about 2 million credit card accounts. It plans to use Prime 4 to manage the issuance of MasterCard-branded platinum cards, according to a news release.

"Our new [Prime] version further improves support for the evolving needs of issuing and acquiring institutions requiring greater agility, efficiency and security," Kelley C. Knutson, executive vice president of TSYS International, said in the release.

The Prime platform is used by 130 companies in 70 countries in Europe, the Middle East, Africa and Asia, says TSYS, which is based in Columbus, Ga.
