NCR Corp. reported that its second-quarter net income rose 29.9% year over year, to $31 million. Revenue rose 5.4%, to $1.18 billion.

The Duluth, Ga., automated teller machine maker said that during the quarter a large regional bank agreed to replace several hundred of its existing money machines with NCR's advanced SelfServ 32, 34 and 38 models, which offer envelope-free deposit capabilities.

BECU (formerly Boeing Employees' Credit Union) became the first credit union to deploy Aptra Vision, NCR's enterprise software for self-service system management. Aptra Vision provides BECU with a comprehensive view of its ATM network by analyzing operational information, business performance and consumer experience, NCR said.

NCR, which announced its second-quarter results July 22, also won a competitive bid to extend its e-commerce partnership with Old National Bank, which will use NCR's Web-hosting services and Aptra Online Banking service.
