NCR Corp. said Thursday that it swung to a profit of $38 million in the fourth quarter from a loss of $57 million a year earlier.
The Duluth, Ga., automated teller machine and kiosk maker reported revenue was up 5%, to $1.4 billion. NCR touted its scalable deposit module and intelligent deposit technology as offering potential growth this year.
Last month, NCR said JPMorgan Chase & Co. will place hundreds of machines equipped with its latest module in branches nationwide.
Wells Fargo & Co. is also deploying machines equipped with the module.
"As we move into 2011 we will continue to be focused on our value-creation strategy, which includes ongoing operational execution," NCR said.
