NetBank CEO Micahel Harte said the bank took the site offline when performance issues affected service. He also said the bank hasn’t ruled out a denial of service attack, and is investigating whether recent service glitches are the result of a new form of attack. According to online forums, these customer glitches have included missing recent account transactional data. CBA’s online bank has been targeted by a rash of phishing activity following the introduction of a major upgrade that was unveiled during the past month.
