NetSpend Corp. has rolled out a reloadable prepaid card to generate donations to the March of Dimes.
The March of Dimes Visa Prepaid Card was unveiled Thursday.
It is available at stores operated by NetSpend's longtime distribution partner, the check casher and payday lender Ace Cash Express Inc.
Ace, of Irving, Tex., has organized a fund-raiser for the March of Dimes for the past five years. It has agreed to donate 0.05% of each transaction made with the cards to the White Plains, N.Y., charity to support its pregnancy and infant health programs.
NetSpend, of Austin, said it is the only prepaid card provider that offers a charitable debit card product.
