Newtrend and International Software Designs formed an alliance to create client-server software and development tools for the commercial banking industry.
Targeting large commercial banks, the two firms will initially seek opportunities to customize client-server solutions to meet the specific requirements of current Newtrend customers. These products will then be considered for marketing to the broader financial industry. Newtrend will also offer International's current PC-based products to its commercial banking customers.
Examples of applications the alliance is pursuing include data repositories for management reporting, chargeoff recovery and collections, and a commercial lending system.
International Software Designs, based in Culver City, Calif., is a custom software developer. Newtrend, based in Orlando, provides outsourcing services and software systems to the banking industry.
